"Cover Me" is a furniture series that reinterprets classic designs, paying tribute to the originals while engaging in a dialogue—critiquing or expanding upon their ideas. This table reimagines a design by Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, a key figure in the British Arts and Crafts movement, embracing the idea of collaboration and dialogue between designer and craftsman to bring a fresh perspective.

Cherry wood replaces the original oak, giving the table a lighter, more refined character. Subtle adjustments to the proportions enhance its balance, with a double-beveled tabletop adding a quiet, distinct detail. The wedged through tenons have been adapted to be invisible on the top surface, prioritizing integrity over decoration and preserving the surface's overall coherence.
